Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 7037:
……….I heard Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: “There would be no creation (creating more trouble) than the Dajjal right from the creation of Adam to the Last Hour.”
Abu-Dawud Book 37, Number 4305:
Narrated Imran ibn Husayn: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Let him who hears of the Dajjal (Antichrist) go far from him for I swear by Allah that a man will come to him thinking he is a believer and follow him because of confused ideas roused in him by him
Who is Dajjal? Dajjal is a person who will come before End of the World and will drive people to Kufr (unbelief). From the above Hadith it is clear that Dajjal will be the greatest trial for Muslims. The trial not seen before. The trial will be such, that Prophet (peace be upon him) warned not to even go near him because a man will come to him and will follow him.
Abu-Dawud Book 37, Number 4305: Narrated Imran ibn Husayn: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Let him who hears of the Dajjal (Antichrist) go far from him for I swear by Allah that a man will come to him thinking he is a believer and follow him because of confused ideas roused in him by him.
Prophet (peace be upon him) himself prayed to Allah seeking refuge from the trials of Dajjal.
Sahih Muslim Book 004, Number 1216: A’isha reported: 1 heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) seeking refuge from the trial of Dajjal (Antichrist) in prayer.
Dajjal will perform such acts, magic and tricks that people will consider him to be God. He will be able to do these things because Dajjal is trial/aazmaish for Muslims and Allah will test Muslims with Dajjal and see whether Muslims have faith in Allah or not and thus real Muslims (who have faith in Allah) will be separated from Hypocrites/munafiqs (who will believe in Dajjal); nevertheless whatever Dajjal will do, it will be by the leaf of Allah. For example: Dajjal will ask people to believe in him, those who will believe in him he will give them abundant but those who will deny him he will cause famine on them; Also, Dajjal will kill a man and then will bring him to life again, so people seeing these and other acts will take him i.e. Dajjal as God. But Allah says in Quran:
Holy Quran Al-An’am-103 No vision can grasp Him but His grasp is over all vision: He is above all comprehension yet is acquainted with all things;
And Prophet (peace be upon him) has said:
Sahih-Muslim Book041_Number 7000: “……..Bear this thing in mind that none amongst you would be able to see Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, until he dies”.
That means we cannot see Allah in this life, but when Dajjal will come we will be able to see him that means Dajjal is not God. Also, Prophet (peace be upon him) has informed us that Dajjal is One-Eyed (Blind in Right Eye) and Allah-Our Creator is not One Eyed.
Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 93, Number 504: Narrated ‘Abdullah: Ad-Dajjal was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet. The Prophet said, “Allah is not hidden from you; He is not one-eyed,” and pointed with his hand towards his eye, adding, “While Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal is blind in the right eye and his eye looks like a protruding grape”
Abu-Dawud Book 37, Number 4306: Narrated Ubadah ibn as−Samit: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “I have told you so much about the Dajjal (Antichrist) that I am afraid you may not understand. The Antichrist (Dajjal) is short, hen-toed, woolly-haired, one-eyed, an eye-sightless, and neither protruding nor deep-seated. If you are confused about him, know that your Lord is not one-eyed”.
Being One-Eyed will be the main identification mark of Dajjal. His other characteristics are – He will be short, hen-toed, wooly (curly and coarse) haired, beak of a nose (hooked nose) and biting teeth. Also, between the eyes of Dajjal there will be written or i.e. Disbeliever. Even illiterate Muslims will be able to read this.
Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 7009: Anas b. Malik reported that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: Dajjal is blind of one eye and there is written between his eyes the word” Kafir”. He then spelled the word as k. f. r., which every Muslim would be able to read
Dajjal will have with him Fire (Hell) on right side and River (Paradise) on left side, but his Fire/Hell will actually be Paradise and his River/Paradise will actually be Hell. So who ever chooses his Fire will actually land in Paradise and whosoever chooses his River will find it to be Hell.
Abu-Dawud Book 35, Number 4232: ……(Dajjal) will come forth accompanied by a river and fire. He who falls into his fire will certainly receive his reward, and have his load taken off him, but he who falls into his river will have his load retained and his reward taken off him. I then asked: What will come next? He said: The Last Hour will come
Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 7014: Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: May I not inform you about the Dajjal what no Apostle of Allah narrated to his people? He would be blind and he would bring along with him an Image of Paradise and Hell-Fire and what he would call as Paradise that would be Hell-Fire and I warn you as Noah warned his people
So, if some person hears that Dajjal has come he should not go even near to him instead he should run far away from him because person who will go near Dajjal will consider himself to be believer but will follow because of confused ideas aroused by Dajjal. If some one encounters Dajjal, then on being able to see him and on seeing him being One-Eyed, it should be clear to seer at that very moment that this person is Dajjal as was informed by our caring Prophet (peace be upon him) and this person is not God as we cannot see Allah in this life (even Prophet Musa (A.S) was not able to see Allah then how can we) neither is Allah One-Eyed. Whatever tricks/acts Dajjal may perform we should not get impressed by those and we should stand firm and endure every pain inflicted by him and when Dajjal will offer Fire and River we should choose his Fire as that will actually be Paradise and thus pass the trial of Dajjal and save ourselves from eternal Hell.
How will Dajjal die? Dajjal will be killed by Hazrat Isa (A.S) on his second coming. Hazrat Isa (A.S) will descend from heaven as follower of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and he will destroy Dajjal (Antichrist).
Abu-Dawud Book 37, Number 4310: Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus (peace be upon him). He will descent (to the earth). When you see him, recognize him: a man of medium height, reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die The Muslims will pray over him.
Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 7023: ……….The Dajjal would appear in my Ummah and he would stay (in the world) for forty-I cannot say whether he meant forty days, forty months or forty years. And Allah would then send Jesus son of Mary who would resemble ‘Urwa b Mas’ud. He (Jesus Christ) would chase him and kill him………
It is said that coming events cast their shadows beforehand. We can see that in present times Dajjal-System rules lives of people throughout the world. This system is represented by and promotes mass immorality (Homosexuality, Adultery, Fornication, Nudity, Music), Atheism, Devil-worship, Economy based on USURY / RIBA / INTEREST, Intoxication (Alcohol & Drug abuse), Crime, Injustice, Oppression, Fitnah of the Pen (Pornography magazines, literature that take people away from Islam and put doubts in the minds of people etc.), Wars, Famine, Massacres, Rape, Suffering on an immeasurable scale, abandoning Divine Guidance mainly, in public spheres.
This DAJJAL-system, will be the most evil and most corrupt satanic, kaafir force in human history. The system is such that whole world can be controlled by a single person. Scientific discoveries/inventions, Interest based economy, mass electronic/print media, communication networks, MNCs, international bodies like UN has made this possibility a reality. This person shall eventually be Dajjal.
The Jews, the Christians, the Atheists and Secularist, the Munafiqeen, the whole of Kuffaar shall fall under the banner of the Dajjal, against Islam. This System, in a sense, has all the characteristics of Dajjal. Like, he being blind of right eye can be compared with “spiritual blindness” of this System, with abandoning of divine guidance and no thought of life beyond the grave; and the [covetous] left [sinister] eye shining like a bright star can be that discovery of all kinds of earthly treasures, comfort and luxury to such an extent that spiritual life is be completely neglected.
Similarly, Dajjal’s fire/hell being paradise can be understood by the fact that in the current times (and in the times to come) holding to the religion is bit difficult, and who strictly holds to it, faces hardships of various kinds, but this hardship and faithfulness to Islam will lead the person to honour in this life and Paradise in hereafter. On the other hand, those who accepts and follows this Immoral System whole heartedly without caring for Islam may have his/her difficulties eased in this life to an extent but in hereafter the person will be in hell.
Similarly, we having being warned if we go near him, we will follow him (Dajjal) may be comprehended by understanding the main reason behind people getting astray nowadays; when a person sees the luxury, comfort of those people who have acquired wealth and treasures by means which are haraam (for these people career, money and entertianment/fun has become goal of life) and on seeing the carefree & apparently fun filled life of those who do not follow religion or follow religion just as another ritual, he/she get impressed by their lifestyle and want the same for himself and in the process become like them and follow/adopt this oppressive system. From these comparisons we can comprehend a bit that how extreme the trial will be when Dajjal will come himself.
So my dear brothers and sisters -in-faith we need to save ourselves and our young ones from Fitnal (Trial) of Dajjal. We can only withstand this Fitnah and withstand the confused ideas aroused by this Fitnah by holding tight to the rope of Allah which is Quran and by following Sunnah of Prophet (peace be upon him). Only by reading Quran in Arabic wont do, we need to understand Quran. As one Hadith states –
Sahih Muslim Book 004, Number 1766: Abu Darda’ reported Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying: If anyone learns by heart the first ten verses of the Surah al-Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal.
Sahih Muslim Book 004, Number 1767: This hadith has been transmitted by Qatada with the same chain of transmitters. But Shu’ba (one of the narrators) said: At the end of Surah al-Kahf, but Hammam said: At the beginning of Surah al-Kahf.
[So we should learn first and last ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf by Heart].
Akbar Ali (author of Book ‘Israel and the Prophecies of The Holy Quran’) also warns Muslims about blind belief without understanding: “Some Muslims believe that if they recite the Quranic verses relating to Dajjal and he hears it, he (Dajjal) will run away from them in fear. But I do not think that any sensible person would ever believe that the mere recitation of the Holy Qur’an could turn anyone away in fear. This is simply another of the ancient superstitions which, sad to say, still exist today. The real sense in this belief lies in the fact that their meaning should be understood, for only by understanding the meaning of them can Dajjal be identified, and, with this knowledge and understanding, man can protect himself from the corrupt and misguiding influence of (The Great Liar) Dajjal (the Anti-Christ)“.
Donot forget the wording of Hadith “a man will come to him thinking he is a believer and follow him because of confused ideas roused in him by him”. So we have to keep re-looking our Iman, beliefs, morals and our outlook to life to ensure they are based on Quran and Sunnah otherwise we are doomed. Especially we need to arm our young ones with the knowledge of Quran (Iman and Islam) so that they can be saved from the worsening situation; catalyzed by the current education system, by mass media (cable, internet, etc) and by onslaught of western immoral ideas. We have to save ourselves from western ideas like secularism, communism, feminism, etc; from deeds like Riba/Interest, music, unlawful entertainment, nudity, un-islamic customs, adultery wine; from following way of disbelievers; from being nonreligious etc. Otherwise Hell is in ambush for sinners.
At the end, victory will be of Islam and Islam will enter every house on the face of this earth as is clear from the following Ayat and Hadith –
Al-Quran Sur Al-Fath (48:28) It is He who has sent His Rasool with Guidance and the religion of truth, so that He may exalt this religion over all other religions: and sufficient is Allah as a witness.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 42 Narrated byAl-Miqdad Al-Miqdad heard Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: There will not remain upon the surface of the earth a mud-brick house or a camel’s-hair tent but Allah will instill into it the word of Islam, bringing both mighty honour and abject humiliation. Allah will either honour them by making them worthy of it and those whom He humiliates shall have to render submission to it. I said: The religion will then be entirely for Allah.Transmitted by Ahmad.
Surah 018 : Al-Kahf (The Cave)
(First Ten Verses)
18:1 Praise be to Allah Who has revealed the Book to His servant and did not make it complicated.
18:2 It is straightforward so that He may warn about the terrible punishment for the unbelievers from Him and give good news to the believers who do good deeds that they shall have a goodly reward,
18:3 which they will enjoy forever.
18:4 Further to warn those who say “Allah has begotten a son.”
18:5 They have no knowledge about it, nor do their forefathers, this is a monstrous word that comes from their mouths. They speak nothing but a lie.
18:6 O Muhammad! You probably will kill yourself in grief over them, if they do not believe in this Message (The Qur’an).
18:7 We have decked the earth with all kinds of ornaments to test the people and to see which of them do the best deeds.
18:8 In the end We shall reduce all that is on it to a barren wasteland.
18:9 Do you think that the Companions of the Cave and of Ar-Raqeem (this may refer to the name of their dog, or the tablet on which their names are inscribed or the mountain in which the cave is situated) were among Our wonderful signs?
18:10 When those young men took refuge in the cave, they said “Our Rabb! Have mercy on us from Yourself and guide us out of our ordeal.”
(Last Ten Verses)
18:101 who had turned a blind eye to My admonition and a deaf ear to My warning.
18:102 Do the unbelievers think that they can take my servants as protectors, to save themselves from Hell, instead of Me? Certainly We have prepared Hell for the entertainment of such unbelievers.
18:103 O Muhammad tell them: “Should we tell you the worst kind of losers relating to their deeds?
18:104 Those whose all efforts in this worldly life had gone astray from the Right Way, but all along they were under the delusion that they were doing good deeds;
18:105 they are the ones who are disregarding the revelations of their Rabb and the fact that they will meet Him for accountability of their deeds in the Hereafter, so their deeds will become null and will not carry any weight on the Day of Judgment.
18:106 Thus the reward of such people will be Hell; because they had no faith and because they took My revelations and My Rasools as a joke.
18:107 However, those who believe and do good deeds, they will be entertained with the Gardens of Paradise
18:108 to live therein for ever and they will never desire to go anywhere else.
18:109 O Muhammad tell them: “If the ocean were ink with which to write the words of my Rabb, the ocean would surely be consumed before the words of my Rabb are finished, even if We brought similar quantity of ink to replenish it.
18:110 O Muhammad, tell them: “I am but a human being like you; the revelation is sent to me to declare that your God is One God; therefore, whoever hopes to meet his Rabb, let him do good deeds and join no other deity in the worship of his Rabb.”
As-Sirat
