They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. (Holy Quran 61:8)
“Khuda Kay Liye –In The Name Of God” is a film made by the munafiqs/hypocrites to take away Muslims from Islam. Like Jews and Christians changed their faith and books (Taurah and Injeel) to suit their lust and desires, so are pseudo-muslims i.e. hypocrites trying to do the same to Islam. The Hypocrites –i.e. bunch of Secularists / Liberals / so called “Enlightened Moderates” / Qadyanis, etc.– use various methods to achieve their goal. The methods include-
a) Changing the name of a Haraam thing and then declaring that to be Hallal;
b) Misquoting an Ayat and Hadith;
c) Quoting out of context an Ayat and Hadith;
d) Not quoting all the Ayats and Hadiths related to a topic;
e) Putting crookedness in Ayat and Hadith while as Allah says there is no crookedness in Quran;
f) Inventing falsehood;
g) Mixing bad with good to get bad accepted;
h) Promoting a fake scholar;
i) Spreading lie about a genuine person; and other covert methods also.
It is clear from the current happening in the world that Kufr has declared open war with Islam and Muslims. Kufr has recognized that the real power of Muslims is Islam. It is because of Islam that Muslims are able to avoid temptations and even give their life for Allah’s Deen. So they are trying their best to take Muslims away from Islam. But seeing the Muslim’s love for Islam they have devised a strategy by which they will change the teachings of Islam. By this they want to ensure that Muslims won’t follow the true / actual teachings of Islam. In Turkey, project of re-interpreting Quran and Hadith to make Islam “compatible” with western immoral values, is part of this strategy. One more part of the strategy is to have hypocrites make movies, documentaries, serials, etc that distort teachings of Islam. While doing so they ensure that distortions are put in appealing way so that common people can be easily fooled in believing the distortions. “Khuda Kay Liye –In The name Of God” is one such movie wherein people are misled about the teachings of Islam on various topics.
We Muslims need to be extra cautions of not falling in these traps. These traps are the ditches of hell. We must not see these fitna-e-dajjal movies because our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) has said; Abu-Dawud Book 37, Number 4305: Narrated Imran ibn Husayn: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Let him who hears of the Dajjal (Antichrist) go far from him for I swear by Allah that a man will come to him thinking he is a believer and follow him because of confused ideas roused in him by him.
All the above listed methods, including Falsehood, has been used by hypocrites in this movie to distort the teachings of Islam. Allah states;
Surah As-Saff (61:8) They seek to extinguish the Light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His Light, much as the unbelievers may dislike it.
Surah An-Nahl (16:105) -Only they invent falsehood who believe not Allah’s revelations, and (only) they are the liars.
Surah At-Tauba (9:67) –The hypocrite men and the hypocrite women, they are all alike. They enjoin what is evil, forbid what is just, and withhold their hands from doing good. They have forgotten Allah; so He has forgotten them. In fact the hypocrites are transgressors.
Surah At-Tauba (9:68) -Allah has promised the hypocrite men, the hypocrite women, and the unbelievers the fire of hell to live therein forever, a sufficient recompense. Allah has cursed them and they shall have a lasting punishment.
Surah An-Nisaa (4:145) -Surely the hypocrites will be in the lowest depth of hellfire; and you will not find any helper for them.
Pakistani Ulmas have given fatwa against this film (Khuda Kay Liye –In The Name Of God) yet the film was released with much publicity.
Below, we will clear the distortions made by the movie.
Falsehood: “A Muslimah can marry Ahle-Kitaab (People of the Book)”.
Nothing but Farcical and Ridiculous statement. Falsehood, Misguidance, Misinformation and Hypocrisy at its best. An Anti-Islamic, Non-Islamic Statement. In Islam, Muslim women CANNOT marry any non-muslim including People-Of-The-Book i.e. Ahle-Kitab.
Surah Al-Baqara (2:221) -Do not marry unbelieving women (idolaters) until they believe; a slave woman who believes is better than an unbelieving woman even though she allure you. Nor marry (your girls) to unbelievers until they believe: a man slave who believes is better than un unbeliever even though he allure you. Unbelievers do (but) beckon you to the fire. But Allah beckons by His grace to the Garden (of Bliss) and forgiveness and makes His Signs clear to mankind: that they may celebrate His praise.
Only Men have been allowed to marry CHASTE women of Ahle-Kitaab.
Surah Al-Maida (5:5) -….. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers but chaste women among the People of the Book revealed before your time when ye give them their due dowers and desire chastity not lewdness nor secret intrigues. If anyone rejects faith fruitless is his work and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).
Falsehood: “Muslim women can give herself in marriage (without parents consent)”
Innalillahi-wa-innaialhi rajeoon. How much falsehood will hypocrites use to take away the people from straight path! Now it can be easily understood why hypocrites will be in the worst place of Hell i.e. the bottom of Hell.
In Islam, Muslim women CANNOT marry without consent of her wali.
Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 11, Number 2078: Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: The marriage of a woman who marries without the consent of her guardians is void. (He said these words) three times. If there is cohabitation, she gets her dower for the intercourse her husband has had. If there is a dispute, the sultan (man in authority) is the guardian of one who has none.
Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 11, Number 2080: Narrated AbuMusa: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: There is no marriage without the permission of a guardian.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith Hadith 3137 Narrated by AbuHurayrah Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “A woman may not give a woman in marriage, nor may she give herself in marriage, for the immoral woman is the one who gives herself in marriage.” Ibn Majah transmitted it.
While a Muslimah cannot marry without the consent of her guardians, guardian cannot marry off a woman without her consent also.
Sahih Muslim Book 008, Number 3303: Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as having said: A woman without a husband (or divorced or a widow) must not be married until she is consulted, and a virgin must not be married until her permission is sought. They asked the Prophet of Allah (may peace be upon him): How her (virgin’s) consent can be solicited? He (the Holy Prophet) said: That she keeps silence.
Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 11, Number 2091: Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: A virgin came to the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) and mentioned that her father had married her against her will, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) allowed her to exercise her choice.
Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 85, Number 78: Narrated Khansa’ bint Khidam Al-Ansariya: That her father gave her in marriage when she was a matron and she disliked that marriage. So she came and (complained) to the Prophets and he declared that marriage invalid. (See Hadith No. 69, Vol. 7)
Falsehood: “Drinking Alcohol is disliked (makrooh)”
Having Alcohol is not “Na-pasand-deedah” / Disliked, but Alcohol is Haraam / Banned. Rather it is more than banned. We have been ordered to do “ijtinaab” from all intoxicants. For example gold is Haraam to wear for men but men can carry/deal in gold. But Ijtinaab of intoxicants means we cannot even deal / carry / serve / store intoxicants; we cannot even be on the table where alcohol is served.
Surah Al-Maida (5:90) –O believers! Intoxicants and gambling (games of chance), dedication to stones (paying tribute to idols) and division by arrows (lottery) are the filthy works of Shaitan. (Fajtaniboohu) Get away from them, so that you may prosper.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2776: Narrated by Anas ibn, Mali Allah’s Messenger (saws) invoked the curse of Allah on ten people in connection with wine: the wine-presser, the one who has it pressed, the one who drinks it, the one who conveys it, the one to whom it is conveyed, the one who serves it, the one who sells it, the one who benefits from the price paid for it, the one who buys it, and the one for whom it is bought.
Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 3672 Narrated by Abdullah Ibn Abbas The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “Every intoxicant is ‘khamr’ (alcohol, wine, beer, etc.), and every ‘khamr’ is haraam.”
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4477: Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah The Prophet (saws) said, “He who believes in Allah and the Last Day must not (even) sit at a cloth (table or gathering) where wine is being circulated.”
Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 26, Number 3673: Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If a large amount of anything causes intoxication, a small amount of it is prohibited.
Falsehood: “Music is not Haraam”
Creating confusions by mixing good and bad to mislead the ignorant people is the hallmark of hypocrites –the people of Hell. Singing and Music are different things. Music is the sounds generated by instruments like stringed instruments (guitar, violin, etc), wind instruments (flute, trumpet, etc), etc.
Singing is the phrases spoken in melodious voice. Now if the phrases that are being sung are good then that singing may be considered good. Like, Dawood (A.S) sung the praises of Allah.
The singing of Prophet Dawood (a.s.) (and I seek refuge in Allah from even saying this) was not the conventional or commercial ‘singing’ that we unfortunately are accustomed to…..but the ‘singing’ of the Noble Dawood (a.s.) was the melodious chanting of the ‘Zuboor’ (Psalms) and the Praises and Glorifications of the Lord Most Exalted. Zuboor was the revelation from Allah and not the writing of any men. Such was the piety and the melody in these chants of Praises and Glorifications of the Lord from the tongue of the Noble Prophet Dawood (a.s.), that the mountains and the birds were Commanded by the Lord to chant the Praises along with Prophet Dawood (a.s.).
Surah Saba (34:10) -We bestowed Grace aforetime on David from Ourselves: “O ye Mountains! sing ye back the Praises of Allah with him! and ye birds (also)! and We made the iron soft for Him
Even if, just for the sake of argument, (and I seek refuge in Allah from even saying this) Prophet Dawood (A.S) had used musical instruments even then it would not have implied that these instruments can be used by this Ummah. Because for this Ummah the role model is our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) as is declared by Allah.
Surah Al-Ahzab (33: 21) -You have indeed, in the life of Rasool-Allah, the ‘Best Model’ for him whose hope is in Allah and the Day of the Hereafter, and who engages himself much in the remembrance of Allah.
And Allah has commanded us to take what Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) gives and leave what He (Peace Be Upon Him) forbids.
Surah Al-Hashr (59:7) -Whatever the Rasool gives you, take it and from whatever he forbids you, refrain from it. Fear Allah; for Allah is stern in retribution.
Surah At-Tagabun (64:12) –Obey Allah and obey His Rasool; but if you pay no heed, then you should know that Our Rasool’s responsibility is nothing but to convey the message plainly.
There are many things that were permissible for nations before us but are Haraam for us like at the time of Adam (A.S) brother from one pregnancy could have married a Sister from other pregnancy, but this is Haram for us. Similarly, there are many things that are permissible for us but were Haraam for earlier nations; like Camel meat was Haraam for Jews but is permissible for us. What previous Prophets (Peace Be Upon All Of Them) and previous nations did wont become basis / excuse for this Ummah. For this Ummah, Allah and his beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is ultimate.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith Hadith 194 Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah ………………. Whereupon Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, even if Moses were to appear before you and you were to follow him, leaving me aside, you would certainly stray into error; for if (Moses) were alive (now), and he found my prophetical ministry, he would have definitely followed me. Transmitted by Darimi.
Coming back to singing, It is the mark of believer to Hymn the praise of Allah.
Surah As-Sajda (32:15) -Only those believe in Our revelations who, when they are reminded of them, fall down prostrate and hymn the praise of their Lord, and they are not scornful,
Sahih Muslim Book 004, Number 1735: Abu Burda narrated on the authority of Abu Musa that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) had said to Abu Musa: If you were to see me, as I was listening to your recitation (of the Qur’an) yester-night (you would have felt delighted). You are in fact endowed with a sweet voice like that of David himself.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith Hadith 3155 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas Aisha gave a woman relative of hers among the Ansar in marriage and Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) came and said, “Have you escorted the girl to her husband?” On being told that they had, he asked whether they had sent someone along with her to sing, and when she replied that they had not, he said, “The Ansar are a people who give a place to love songs. I wish you had sent with her someone to say, ‘We have come to you, We have come to you; so may Allah preserve us and preserve you’.” Ibn Majah transmitted it.
But, if the phrases are trivial / useless / vain / bad / obscene / pollute / indecent / immoral / licentious then that singing will be Haraam. Classical/commercial singing has all these traits.
Surah Al-Muminun (23:1,2,3) -Successful indeed are the believers. Who are humble in their prayers, And who shun vain conversation,
Surah Furqan (25:72) -And those who will not witness vanity, but when they pass near senseless play, pass by with dignity
Surah Al-Muddaththir (74:41-46) -from the culprits: “What brought you into hell?”; They will answer: “We did not use to offer the Salah (prayers), we did not use to feed the poor, we used to join those who wasted their time in vain talk, and we used to deny the Day of Judgment, until death overtook us.”
Abd Allah ibn Mas’ud (Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “Song makes hypocrisy grow in the heart as water does herbage” (Sunan al-Bayhaqi).
Now the Music:
Music is the sound created by using instruments like stringed, wind, and other instruments.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith Hadith 3654 Narrated by AbuUmamah The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Allah has sent me as a mercy to the universe and as a guidance to the universe, and my Lord, Who is Great and Glorious, has commanded me to annihilate stringed instruments, wind instruments, idols, crosses and pre-Islamic customs. My Lord, Who is Great and Glorious has sworn, ‘By My might, none of My servants will drink a mouthful of wine without My giving him a similar amount of pus to drink, but he will not abandon it through fear of Me without My giving him drink from the holy tanks.'” Ahmad transmitted it.
Surah Luqman (31:6) -Among the people there are some who purchase frivolous tales so that they may lead people away from the Way of Allah, without any knowledge, and take the invitation to the Right Way as a mockery. For such people there will be a humiliating punishment. [The great Companion and exegete of the Qur’an, Abd Allah ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) states:“The meaning of the word is music, singing and the like” (Sunan al-Bayhaqi, 1/221& Musannaf Ibn abi Shayba, 132/5). Hasan al-Basri (Allah be pleased with him) said: “This verse was revealed in relation to singing and musical instruments” (Tafsir ibn Kathir, 3/442)]
Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 69, Number 494: Narrated Abu ‘Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash’ari: that he heard the Prophet saying, “From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, ‘Return to us tomorrow.’ Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection.”
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith Hadith 3153: Narrated by Muhammad ibn Hatib al-Jumahi The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “The distinction between what is lawful and what is unlawful is the song and the tambourine at a wedding.” Ahmad, Nasa’i and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
Falsehood: “Clothing has NOTHING to do with religion”
Islam is the guidance from Allah. Islam guides us in each and every aspect of our life. Islam even guides us about excrement, then how could it leave us ignorant (I seek refuge from Allah) about clothing. Islam gives us broad guidelines regarding clothes. The guidelines regarding clothing are different for men and women. As long as the clothing confirms the guidelines set by Islam, we can wear it.
Sahih Muslim Book 002, Number 0504: Salman reported that it was said to him: Your Apostle (may peace be upon him) teaches you about everything, even about excrement. He replied: Yes, he has forbidden us to face the Qibla at the time of excretion or urination, or cleansing with right hand or with less than three pebbles, or with dung or bone.
Surah Al-A’raf (7:32) -O Muhammad, ask them: “Who has forbidden you to wear decent clothes or to eat the good food which Allah has provided for His devotees?” Say: “All these things are for the enjoyment of the believers in the life of this world though shared by others; but these shall be exclusively theirs on the Day of Resurrection. Thus do We make Our revelations clear for those who understand.”
Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 32, Number 4082: Narrated AbuSa’id al−Khudri: AbdurRahman said: I asked AbuSa’id al−Khudri about wearing lower garment. He said: You have come to the man who knows it very well. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: The way for a believer to wear a lower garment is to have it halfway down his legs and he is guilty of no sin if it comes halfway between that and the ankles, but what comes lower than the ankles is in Hell. On the day of Resurrection. Allah will not look at him who trails his lower garment conceitedly.
Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 72, Number 679: Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle, “Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection, at a person who drags his Izar (behind him) out of pride and arrogance
Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 32, Number 4087: Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) cursed the man who dressed like a woman and the woman who dressed like a man.
Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 32, Number 4088: Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin: Ibn Abu Mulaykah told that when someone remarked to Aisha that a woman was wearing sandals, she replied: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) cursed mannish women.
Sahih Muslim Book 040, Number 6840: Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Two are the types amongst the denizens of Hell, the one possessing whips like the tail of an ox and they flog people with their help. (The second one) the women who would be naked in spite of their being dressed, who are seduced (to wrong paths) and seduce others with their hair high like humps. These women would not get into Paradise and they would not perceive the odour of Paradise, although its fragrance can be perceived from such and such distance (from great distance).
Falsehood: “Sporting beard is not necessitated by Islam.”
(A person should sport beard only when his love reaches zenith)
Do Muslim men circumcise when they reach the zenith of Love, No. Do Muslims adopt every sunnah (like praying Witr or EID salah and other sunnats) only when they reach highest point of Iman, No. Why do we circumcise and do other sunnats and wajibs? Because our Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) has ordered us to, so we do. Like Witr Salat is Wajib, so is sporting a Beard. If anyone leaves Witr salat or shaves his beard he has committed a sin.
Sahih Muslim Book 002, Number 0499: Ibn Umar said: The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) ordered us to trim the moustache closely and spare the beard.
Sahih Muslim Book 002, Number 0498: Ibn Umar said: The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Trim closely the moustache, and let the beard grow.
Sahih Muslim Book 002, Number 0501: Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Trim closely the moustache, and grow beard, and thus act against the fire-worshippers.
Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 93, Number 651: Narrated Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri: The Prophet said, “There will emerge from the East some people who will recite the Qur’an but it will not exceed their throats and who will go out of (renounce) the religion (Islam) as an arrow passes through the game, and they will never come back to it unless the arrow, comes back to the middle of the bow (by itself) (i.e., impossible). The people asked, “What will their signs be?” He said, “Their sign will be the habit of shaving (of their beards). (Fateh Al-Bari, Page 322, Vol. 17th)
Commenting on the phrase “Abu-Jahal also sported beard”; There is a hadith– Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 1, Number 1: Narrated ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for.”
That means if a person sported beard with the intention that he is copying Abu-Jahal then his case will be accordingly. But if a person sported beard with the intention of obeying command of Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) then his rewards will be accordingly.
Falsehood: “Its not necessary to keep beard as Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Muhammad Iqbal were not having beard”
We are the followers of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and we obey and follow him (Peace Be Upon Him). When it comes to even least of the sunnah we can sacrifice billions of muhammad ali jinnahs and muhammad iqbals for it. Neither muhammad ali jinnah nor muhammad iqbal are exemplar for us. Any person who adopts ways of these people by leaving the way of Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) is surely an accursed one; without any faith. What these people did and what they didn’t did they will get recompense accordingly but Islam will remain unchanged.

Surah Muhammad (47:33) -O believers! Obey Allah and obey His Rasool, and do not let your deeds come to nothing.
Surah Al-i Imran -3:31 -Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 2, Number 14: Narrated Anas: The Prophet said “None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.”
Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 91, Number 363: Narrated Ali: The Prophet , sent an army and appointed some man their commander The man made a fire and then said (to the soldiers), “Enter it.” Some of them intended to enter it while some others said, ‘We have run away from it (i.e., embraced Islam to save ourselves from the ‘fire’).” They mentioned that to the Prophet, and he said about people who had intended to enter the fire. ”If they had entered it, they would have remained In it till the Day of Resurrection.” Then he said to others, “No obedience for evil deeds, obedience is required only in what is good .”
Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 1: Narrated Anas bin Malik: A group of three men came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet asking how the Prophet worshipped (Allah), and when they were informed about that, they considered their worship insufficient and said, “Where are we from the Prophet as his past and future sins have been forgiven.” Then one of them said, “I will offer the prayer throughout the night forever.” The other said, “I will fast throughout the year and will not break my fast.” The third said, “I will keep away from the women and will not marry forever.” Allah’s Apostle came to them and said, “Are you the same people who said so-and-so? By Allah, I am more submissive to Allah and more afraid of Him than you; yet I fast and break my fast, I do sleep and I also marry women. So he who does not follow my tradition in religion, is not from me (not one of my followers).”
